If you had to choose a country to buy a property and start a new life then Spain could be top of the list southern Spain in has been a popular destination a Property on the Costa Del Sol, may be worth a look Why here? well for one thing it is an established destination for second home owners and retirees and even place for young professionals that crave the sun.

costa del sol

In the past the Costa del Sol was know for retirees or holiday makers but this is an old image that has changed, now you will find dynamic young professionals either starting business or commuting back to London Amsterdam or Stockholm, Today if you have an  internet connection you can work anywhere in Europe or even the world.

Malaga Airport is a hub that can connect you to most major cities in Europe several times a day, in fact it Malaga must be one of the most Connected airports in Europe for all year round access to the Costa del Sol, if you need a long haul flight you can change in Madrid or Barcelona, Easy jet & Ryan air both have hubs in Malaga.

If your a young professional you will of coarse be thinking about starting a family and wondering is Spain a good place to raise children? the answer is an outstanding yes, Spain is a child friendly country, there are a good selection of international schools, the local state schools are free and teach the Spanish curriculum, my children go to school in Benahavis which is a free state Spanish school but more than 50% of the pupils are from other countries.

If your into Boating there are several Marinas on the Costa del Sol, Sotogrande is nearer Gibraltar than Malaga & is well known for Polo & Sailing,  the Marina is really quite pretty with boat channels that allow owners to park their boats right outside their property like little Venice,  La Duquesa also has property for sale in the marina the video below shows a property that overlooks the water

Then we have Estepona, & the glitzy Puerto Banus harbor where the rich & famous park their yachts, after that going east Marbella, Cabapino and Malaga where the large cruise ships dock
